    The weight limit on the rear seat is lower than the front. But you can have either child in either seat.

    The Phil&ted though I believe will tip/be unstable with the heavier child in the back.

    Default StriderPlus Second Seat for 3 year old?

    I was doubtful about using the second seat (note they don't call it a toddler seat) with my newborn, but it is great. I had him in it at 2.5 weeks old at the baby expo. I think it's more suitable than the main seat. I doubt 2.5yo DD would've let me put her in it anyway!
