Default Radio rentals & other rental companies?

    Hi

I applied to study next year, I'm really excited about doing something that I can use to help get me on track towards a career....but....my laptop has just died to get it fixed would cost more then a cheap laptop (and its about 8 years old!) We are in no position to buy a new one and won't be for a loong time, so I was thinking about radio rentals etc. Has anyone got any recommendations? I know the sensible thing would be to save but to save for even a $300/$400 I wouldn't have it in time for my course. Don't have credit cards or anything either so I think this is the only option!

I do radio rentals-it works out more expensive but the repayments are affordable n the equipment up to date so I don't mind.
I rent a tv which is about $30 per f/n with insurance Good luck!

I've done rentals before and ill ever do it again!
The amount you pay back is crazy, not to mention the length you pay it back for.

Can you apply for a go MasterCard? Then go to Harvey Norman and shop on interest free?
