Default Red fleshy chunks in poo - is watermelon the culprit?

DD had some watermelon this morning, then poo this arvo had red fleshy bits in it. I thought it was blood but when I looked closely it was fleshy, kinda like raw meat I guess.

    Anyone else experienced this?

Are you absolutely sure it wasn't blood? Did it look like jelly in any way? Is bubs distressed at all, does she have abdominal pains? If so take her straight to ED. I don't want to stress you out but if a baby does a poo that looks like bloody jelly then it may be a symptom of intestinal issues that need to be addressed as an immediate priority. (interseceptions - sp?)

It's ok I'm not stressed out. No I'm not absolutely sure, but it wasn't like jelly. She's not distressed either.

But I will be keeping a very very close eye on her condition. I'll try her on watermelon again in a few days to see if its repeated.

I'll never forget the lurch of terror I felt the day after I gave DD roasted beetroot chunks for the first time. I thought she had bowel cancer until I backtracked through the food she had eaten!

My DDs poo is just full of sand at the moment. I'm amazed that the sandpit at daycare has any sand left in it.

And also, you should see how many photos of her poo I have on my phone. I became obsessed with it when we were trying to get her issues diagnosed!! DH thinks I'm a weirdo.
