You should check out Phil and Teds promenade. We have been in officially looking at prams (we dot have kids yet) and found the promenade steers better. The seats are also bassinets and then they clip up to form the proper seat once bub is older. We thought the weight is also a bit better distributed. It was also super easy to switch the seats from rear to forward facing and vice versa.
If we end up buying a pram, we will probably get that one. If we don't get that one we will get a city select. We preferred that over the strider.
But it's all really just personal preference

I have been trying out a few lately and I'm liking the mountain buggy prams! But I want to do a lot of running so that sways my decision a fair bit

Depends what you like in a pram? Strider has the seat underneath which some kids dont like and BJCS has alot more seating options but is pretty long.

I'm struggling too.
So many different ones to choose from. The main thing I am wanting is a reversible handle.. And it to be a birth to 17kg or whatever they are...
Argh... Too many to choose from!

iCandy peach! Had it nearly 3 years and love it. Just bought the attachment to convert it to a double. Bit pricey though.

I just put the strider compact on layby. Easy to steer. Easy to fold. Narrower than strider plus.

I wish I knew about the Strider Compact before I bought the Strider Plus. I like the features of the SP but it's so damn heavy and cumbersome. I'm a small-framed person and folding it up / unfolding it / lifting it into the boot is really challenging for me! I'm also constantly bumping into things / people because it's so wide.
