Default When Do You Put Up Your Xmas Tree?

    When do you?

I just saw one of my Christmas Countdown Facebook groups ask who is putting up their tree next week on November 1st. I told DP and he said "you can if you want to" and I said "we normally wait till December 1st" and he goes "yeah, wait till December 1st". Doh!
I feel November 1st is a bit early and I know alot of people do it on 25th November......it always seems like such a shame to only have the tree up for a month before you start realising you'd better take it down.

So out of sheer curiosity and boredom, I ask you.....when do you put up your Christmas tree?

December 1st, unlucky to do it before hand lol.

ETA Also take it down Jan 1st for the same silly superstitious reason.

Somewhere around the beginning of December. It usually takes several months to muster up the motivation to take it down so the later it goes up, the better.

We always do it December 1st but I really want to put it up earlier this year! I may just start with some other Christmas decorations around the house and wait to put up the tree.

December 1st! It's the first 'task' in the advent calendar.

I was thinking the same. My family is overseas this year so Christmas is going to be very quiet so DP decided we are going to decorate a bit more than usual to fill the void haha

Default Re: When Do You Put Up Your Xmas Tree?

Usually December 1, but my baby's EDD is December 4, so I think from now on it will be the day after her birthday. Hopefully she's not too late!
It comes down some time in the first couple of weeks in January, before DP goes back to work.
