Default Glass Bottles - that will take the Closer to Nature teats!

    Hi all,

I plan on BF but want to have bottles and a pump so I can express and have bub baby sit if/when the need/want arises.

I am set on using the TT Closer to Nature as they are designed to mimic the natural breast and nipple (unless bub has other ideas of course).

However I would like to use glass bottles not plastic. Can anyone point me in the direction of where to find some that will take the CTN teats?

    Cheers!

I think you will have trouble finding bottles with such a wide teat.. I have never seen them around, only the slimline bottles.

For what it's worth, I was told by a LC that the closer to nature teats are 'too short' and it's better to use a longer nippled one, like the traditional teats. We've been mix feeding since about 2 months, using Cherub Baby glass bottles, and my son happily goes between breast and bottle. The main issue with bottle feeding a BF bubba isn't so much the shape of the teat but the flow. Slower is better so they don't get used to a big flow of milk from the bottle then get impatient with your breast. My 6 m.o is still using newborn sized nipples. HTH

Really that's interesting as the info sheets we got from the hospital LC said the TT CTN were the best for mixed feeding.

They did also say use the slowest flow teat available, at least that info was the same.
