Default What anti depressants are you on?

I have tried Zoloft very briefly and they did not react well with me.

What are some other ones I could perhaps try? I can't fight this on my own for much longer its terrible

Just doing some research before doctors appt.

Zoloft didn't react well with me either. In the past I have tried Prozac and did well on it for a year.

B4 I tried Prozac I tried a few others that didn't work for me, Lexepro - horrible night sweats, nightmares, insomnia, and Pristiq - no ill effects but no help for the depression either. Once I got onto Prozac my depression improved alot.

Be prepared to try a few to find one that's best for you. Try not to get discouraged and think nothing will help you.

I was on Lovan but found after a good 6 years of it, it wasn't working to well with me.
I switched to Pristiq about 6 months ago now, and although it was a bit to get use to and I did have a few of the listed side effects it's going well now

I am on lexapro. I find this very good. The side effects can improve after being on them for a few weeks.

I was on lexapro when i was younger which i found better for the anxiety than the depression. Was then on a combination of pristiq and avanza as the pristiq worked for the depression but stopped me sleeping, the avanza helped me sleep. Then changed to cymbalta so that I could try and go off the avanza as I had put about 40kg on since being on it.

Xanax isn't an antidepressant, it's an anti anxiety medication.

In currently on Effexor 150mg and seroquel xr 200mg (this is a sedative and mood stabiliser for my bipolar). I am currently under review for my anti depressants though as I am still having a lot of bad days.

i was on Lexapro for a while. I found I hated the way it made me feel. I decided to go the natural route to beat my depression and it worked for me. I guess my suggestion is to see a naturopath or homeopath... I didn't have any side effects or issues with the natural remedies I was given and for the most part no longer suffer with severe depression or anxiety..,. I might get mild symptoms at times, but I can deal with it much better now.
