Default Newborn spews all the time?

Hi all, just after some advice.
DD is 5 days old and she spews all the time. I am breastfeeding her and i burp her after every feed. She almost always spews when i burp her and then when she sleeps theres constant milk leaking out of her mouth.
    She doesnt show any discomfort.
    Is that normal?

I would say at 5 days old you have an over supply of milk and she is just getting a little too much, as long as she is still gaining the appropriate weight I wouldn't worry. Maybe talk to your child health nurse on next visit to be sure?

My 4 month old still spews allllll the time! He gains weight just fine so I'd say it's normal as long as bub isn't uncomfortable and is gaining weight

My 3 week old was spewing alll the time from a few days old to about a week or so - midwife reckoned it was just because her stomach hadn't caught up with supply.
She only throws up occasionally now, and it's only when she has wind. Good luck - I hope it passes soon.

It has to do with an under developed sphincter in their throat. It's very normal. My bub is 5 months and still spewing but he has reflux so is in pain when it occurs (well, not any more, he is medicated now). If your bub is putting on weight then it's all good. It's just a pain for washing etc.

Totally normal. My ECH nurse suggested using a different feeding position for DS. When he was really little I used to sit him on my lap, straddling my thigh, so that he's upright. That seemed to help with the vomiting.

He still vomits, but not nearly as much since my milk supply settled down at 4 months.

    It does settle down!
I hated it, some days I had to change all my clothes except my socks!!
our bubba is nearly 4 months and spews MUCH less, but dribbles SO MUCH ... I figure it will always be one liquid or another!
