Default Does your little one look like you thought they would?

Mine doesn't. I expected to have a big chubby child with lots of dark brown hair, but she is petite, almost elfin, with light brown, fine hair.

Not at all, although as she ages she is slowly beginning to look slightly more like I imagined.

DD has been a clone of her dad for years although is now starting to look more like me despite being a giant like her dad as almost over towering me at only 9!!!

Nope not a bit. dp is 1/8th islander , or maybe 1/4 i keep forgetting lol (we think Torres straight). Dp and his father are both quite dark. My kids have my pale skin. I just assumed the dark skin would be the dominant gene.

No , ds is blue eyed with blond hair and is stocky and will be tall. I'm green eyed and have brown hair and am not particularly tall.

kind of....as DS looks like me most. i have a few childhood photos were the resemblance is striking! im a little (pleasantly) surprised by his colouring with dark blonde hair and olive coloured eyes which i guess is a complete mix of our colouring. DD looks more like dh but has more my colouring so yes they do kinda look like i would expect as i often see DD's look like dad and DS's looks like the mum.

Not at all!! I've got brown hair, blue eyes. DH has brown hair, brown eyes. DD has red hair, green eyes!! She looks absolutely nothing like either of us and if she wasn't home birthed I'd swear she was swapped at the hospital.

I have heard (and it may or may not be correct) that polynesian and south sea islander is not a very strong gene and does *dilute* (so not the right word but I think you know what I mean) quite easily.

    Nup not at all.
Dh 9 siblings all have curly (Afro) hair so i thought i would at least get one with curly hair nup the closest i got was ds3 's little curl at the end of his hair that when he has his first hair cut will be gone

dd3 looks like dd1's mini me and dd2 looks nothing like them.
ds2 and ds3 are alike but ds1 is sorta different but not as much as the girls.
