I have heard of pregnant women in the later stages of pregnancy drinking raspberry leaf tea and also taking evening primrose oil capsules as well..(do you take them orally or insert them?) what's this supposed to do?
what are the benefits of these?

raspberry leaf tea & evening primrose oil in pregnancy..?

EPO brings on contractions, raspberry leaf tones your uterus to help a more efficient labour. You can take the evening primrose oil and also insert 2 with pin pricks in the end of them but wear a pad coz its messy. Do it just before u go to bed, and they dissolve by themselves. I found them more mess than they were worth, DTD seemed to bring on more contractions for me as semen has the same stuff (prostaglandins) but I think in much higher concentration. Raspberry leaf I took the tablets instead of the tea. Just check with your HCP prior to starting usage, depends on how far along you are

I didn't drink the tea, I took the raspberry leaf tablets, they are supposed to make your contractions more effective so to speak.
The evening primrose oil capsules can be taken either way, I think inserted would be more effective as your putting it closer to the cervix. They are supposed to help it ripen.
I did both and my labour was 1 hour, whether or not it helped I guess is up for debate hahha.
Be prepared for stronger braxtons tho.
