The simple fact that an action could be brought against him under the Sex Discrimination Act, says it all for me. At the end of the day our opinion of whether he is sexist or not wont come into play. If Our PM felt discrimated against or harassed on the basis of her gender then she or any other woman in a similar situation would be entitled to bring an action under the previously mentioned Act, so one can argue that he isn't sexist and that's the "nature" of their job, but legally, that isn't necessarily the case.

I think the whole 'show me how he hates women' debate is irrelevant. He clearly believes women are not equal to men, are not as capable and deserving of respect in positions of authority. I don't care if he actually hates women or merely thinks of them in a condescending and offensive manner. The distinction is just semantics.
Fact is, his views are offensive, and the wày the PM has been treated by many, including him, is appalling. She cops a lot of gender based flack and its time that stopped. Its not funny and its not clever.

Some woman are forced to have abortions by their boyfriends/partners who prefer to take the easy way out. Yes, sometimes it's the woman who choses to do so, but often you'll find that it is the man who will threaten the woman and unborn child with physical/mental abuse if the woman does not have abortion.
When I told my sons dad that I was pregnant first thing he said was "got to find the number of the abortion clinic".
When I said I had no intension of aborting we got the "I dont want this kid! I will hate it for life! I will quite my job and go on the dole so you wont get 1 cent!'
After telling him I didnt care, he took it 1 step further "I will MAKE you abort one way or another you hear me!??!?!'
I kept my son and lucky found my husband not long after giving birth. He took my son as his own.
Also if TA would make an election promise (and keep it) of increasing the single parent payment, than maybe women would have more choice in the matter. It would enable them to provide a more stable upbringing for the child while parenting on thier own.
TA doesnt realize you cant have it both ways.
