    Default Novelty beds

    Hi everyone,
We are thinking of moving our LO to a big bed soon as next bub is on the way. We have been looking at a novelty car bed for him and just can not decide if it is a great, fun idea for him or a really dumb move. Opinions and thoughts? Anyone had one and loved it/ regretted it?

We have two card beds (for DS1 and DS2 - 7yo and 5o) and they love them! Because they have the sides its a better transition from cot to bed....no falling out.

Cant see them wanting new beds anytime soon. Probably when they get to 10 or 11 they may want proper beds but for now they are great.

Besides if you take care of them they are easy to sell.

We have a car bed for Ds, and he loves it!
I dont regret it as such, but it is a bit harder to make the bed (you have to lift the mattress to tuck in the sheets and doona), and to read a book to him at night, I have to jump over the panels of the bed if that makes sense.

But I dont regret it bc he loves cars and he loves his car bed.

We just got a plain single bed for 2 1/2 year old DS. We figured he would outgrow a car bed at some point. Even though this one is not low to the ground he can clime in and out and I especially like it has three drawers underneath and a shelf behind for his teddies.

    Default Novelty beds

DS has a car bed as well. I find it the best thing besides a cot as I don't have to put at railings up and I know DS is totally safe
