    Default Mattresses

Bit of a pointless thread but anyway...

What type of mattress do you prefer? Firm? Soft? Latex? Spring?
I just recently bought a new mattress and it so hard picking one and now i'm not really happy with what i got (although apparently i have to wear it in a few weeks so maybe it will improve). My old mattress was a firm mattress and i loved it, it was firm and supportive but not rock solid. My new one is also a firm mattress but is like a rock (was softer in store) I can't stand a soft mattress though, my back feels too unsupported and i wake up sore (i have a bad back).
Anyway i got to thinking what do other people sleep on? I know it a personal thing as to what people find comfortable but i'm curious what is more popular in mattress preferences.

Firm, but I can sleep on soft once I get use to it.
