hello, im currenting on parenting payment partnered and my partner has a new job that makes way more then the income required to get parenting payment but Centrelink said that the amount goes on last tax return and last year he made alot less that's why I am on it. Does this sound right? I don't want money I'm not entitled to and would prefer just to cancel it if that's the case rather then have to pay back a debt. Can anyone please help me.

Let them know now what the new income is to avoid having to pay back. When I applied for mine they told me if circumstances change and I expect to earn more in the current financial year than the previous to advise them so things could be adjusted

when we were on PPP we had to report DF's income fortnightly! Try calling them and speaking to someone else.
