We used to go to Joseph Alexander's... but it's shut down now.
Looking for a nice delicious place where for an anniversary/graduation dinner In Bris.
Does anyone know much about Caranserai in West End? It looks lovely in photos online.

Delicious and romantic restaurants in Brisbane?

We used to live around the corner from Caravanserai and have been there many times. Yummy turkish food and nice candlelit ambience.
My fave Brisbane restaurant by far though is Montrachet in Paddington. The food and service is delightful and you really feel like you could be in a bistro in Paris. The only downside is it isn't open weekend nights. It is always popular and you need to book ahead.
Malt restaurant in the city (in the old market building) is also lovely for old school romantic dining (complete with a pianist), there is also a cocktail bar attached to the restaurant.
I also like Watt (on the river near the Powerhouse at New Farm).

Not sure if it's too far out for you, but I love The Summit restaurant at Mt Coot-tha. The food is great and the views are spectacular! Very romantic

I second Caravan Serai! It's great. My friends rave about Montrachet, it's on my list. Sounds delicious and very romantic...I want to try the degustation menu.
There are also some great restaurants in The Barracks - Cabiria is really good.
Ortiga is apparently excellent, but I don't know if it's "romantic" per se.
Sono and Aria are obviously very good
If it was up to me though, I would choose Caravan Serai. It's a nice, romantic setting, it's affordable and the food is delicious without being pretentious.

Sounds like Caravan Serai it is then
I grew up in West End... lol so I love the area, (kind of look for any excuse to go back there) hehe. And it looks really yummy and 'my vibe' kind of thing
