I'm a dressy-dressy girl and I worse nice black pants and a top to my cousins wedding. It was right after the boys turned one, and I wasn't comfortable about showing much skin or wearing dresses back then after everything my body had been through. (Ironically if I could turn back time I would- thanks to breastfeeding I was in the best shape of my life and I would so flaunt that if I knew 3 years later I would be overweight! )
I don't think the couple would want you to change who you are just to suit their dress code. If you're not a dress girl, you're not a dress girl. Black pants and a nice top sounds great

What size are you? I have a couple of nice dresses that I have worn you could borrow. You'd only need press one after you get it in the post . Probably got some matching shoes too!
