I have had 2 kids and have never had the test done. I went private and it appears that it just isn't something that they do so i reckon you can refuse it and not have any issues

I had the test and was positive but declined ABs and any other intervention as my waters broke late and I refused internal exams. I don't see the harm in having the information as long as you can still refuse treatment
