This morning as I sat in the early morning queue at IMVS waiting to get my second lot of blood taken to measure my HCG, I was starting to feel like this was the longest day of my life (and it was only 8am!!) haha
My partner & I miscarried back in April (4w6d) and had been trying ever since. So it was an awesome bday pressie for my to get a BFP on the 23rd Sept.
As much as I try not to worry, I was petrified at the risk of early miscarriage again & the apprehension in waiting for the results was like teetering on a ledge.
Well, this afternoon I received my HCG results back & I'm extremely happy. They've gone from 543 to 1919 since Friday afternoon. I'm 5w1d today, so I'm past the point of our previous loss & thos numbers are rising!
It's made my day!!
Just wanted to share my elation

I just had confirmation from my gp this morning that im pregnant as well.
Was wondering if you have put thought into what care option you would prefer. There is so much to consider right now i dont know where to start.

Congrats to you also Xtal86
My partner and I have thought about this quite a bit & we've decided on the shared care option through the public system.
We have health insurance with benefits, but in all honesty, after researching and speaking to quite a few people, I think the public system sounds better.
I went through shared care public with my son and that was a good experience for me.
At the end of the day, I'm really not fussed as to who actually delivers bubs, as long as they're qualified and know what they're doing lol
