When we was pregnant with dd. we knew what we wanted to call her. She came out and her name suited her to a T but with ds we had 2 boys names picked out and when we had him. Df and I as in hospital just after I had given birth and were like gee what should we call him. The midwife asked what we was calling him and when we told her the 2 names we had she said oh he looks like. A Elijah so we called him that. But 2 Years on and df and I know wished we called him the other name we had because he looks more like that name then he does a Elijah. Either way we love him for who he is and not by the name.. He is still our little man well big boy now

I was the same with my first born, a daughter as well. I ended up going with my first choice, even though it was different and I was so scared no one was going to like it. Trust your heart.
I love the name Stella, it is not too different at all. It is a strong, but pretty name. That suits a child all the way through to adulthood.

Thanks so much everyone, your comments have made me fall in love with the name Stella all over again :-) I think it's a suitable name for a baby, a child, then all ages from 10 to 100!
It's a bit disappointing that they call Estelle on Big Brother 'Stella' coz she's just so annoying, but she'll be forgotten about as soon as this season is over lol!

I love Stella too. It makes me think of Stella McCartney and just general classiness/style. I put in the same group with Grace and Elizabeth if that makes sense.
