Who braved Riverfire this year? How did you find it? How were your little ones?
Spectacular fire work display!
Lots of people out in good spirits, nice atmosphere
Clean, efficient and FREE public transport!
A lovely picnic dinner
The look on my children's faces when they watched the fireworks
The decision to hold a music festival in the Botanic Gardens that closed the entire riverfront of that area! It's already standing room only at firework time on both sides of the river from every viewpoint, to close hundreds of metres of space is INSANITY! It crams more people into the already cramped spaces. It never ocurred to us that this would be an issue so we planned to get a position in the Botanic Gardens but ended up having to walk for about an hour to find the first square metre of space where we could see any fireworks (there are about 10 different displays going on at once up and down the river).
The family who sat in front of us and let their children climb up a tree that overhung the river when the tide was in, and then the parents proceeded to move down a bit so they weren't even sitting in front of them where they could at least watch them.

I hate Riverfire. Waste of money especially when thousands of QLD just lost their jobs. Bet it hurt watching the multi-million dollar displays.

We went up by customs house. Busy but not too packed. Some kind people moved up so Ds1 could sit on the wall. Ds2 went to sleep the minute the fireworks started and slept through the whole thing!
Love riverfire, one of my favourite nights of the year.
