    Default they are talking induction...

And I'm not entirely sure why.Baby boy has severe dilated right kidney (1.6cm at 34+4) and they are giving me another scan in 2wks. If things are worse they say it may be best to induce. But I don't know why? Is it cos they want to operate on him asap or cos the fluid would be low if his kidney gets bigger? It was all a bit of a whirlwind today so I didn't logically ask all the questions I should have.

    Sounds a bit scary
Other than wanting to know more information I'd be asking what the chances are of an induction ending in a c-sect at 35 weeks. It may be better to go straight to elective c-sect rather than emergency c-sect.
This is never how we hope pregnancies to end

ask them what the benefits are, what the risks are, what the alternatives are, listen to your intuition and ask what would happen if you did nothing.

    Nothing

From what I have read they won't operate for 2wks post birth because they need to give kidney time to work. So I can't quite figure out why induction is beneficial. I am going to prepare my questions so I don't forget anything.
