    Default Shared care and PHI

Hi all! I am thinking about going to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney as a private patient rather than the shiny, overly expensive private hospital in North Sydney. Does anyone know if shared care between a GP and hospital midwives is covered by PHI? Am I allowed to do this as a private patient or do I have to have a private OB? Also, can anyone recommend an OB affiliated with RPA for less than $5k? I can't believe the obscene fees that OBs for the private hospital demand! Thanks for your input

I found my no gap OB by calling my private health fund, maybe that could be a starting point for you?
