Default Help needed about applying for divorce???

    Hello all
I haven't visited in ages, but need some advice and have always found bub hub to be a great source!

Almost 12 months ago I separated from my husband and I am rather keen to get the divorce proceedings under way...
I know that may sound crass but my marriage was at best unstable, violent an emotional roller coaster and I have no interest in reconciling with a man I don't trust and never will again...

The problem is, I have no idea where to start! Do I see legal aid? I have no money I can spend on lawyers or anything like that... But i'm lost after all the googling I have been doing.
Luckily for us our custody arrangement has been worked out very respectfully and we have no plans to change any of that...
I would however be interested in finding out how we divide our assets (the very few we have) also, as I left with nothing but the clothes on my back and we've yet to discuss any of that...

Any advice would be most appreciated
    xx

look up community legal centres in your area/state and you can free or very nominal cost legal advice on the property issue and applying for a divorce.
