So I thought because now we can post pics instead of links, I would close (but not unsticky, so it's still there if anybody wants to browse) the old birthday cake thread and start a new one!
It will be a lot easier to browse everyone's fantastic creations without having to open umpteen links all the time!
Feel free to post your marvelous creations! I look forward to seeing them!
As for me, even though my boys are just about to turn 4, I haven't managed to top their first birthday cake- a nice train!

Love cakes! Always take way longer than you think to decorate but so worth it!
Here is my shared cake for DS's 5th birthday and my 20 something plus bday. We love sushi.. Can u tell?
It was red velvet mud cake on the bottom with entirely edible sugar craft and lolly sushi. Including chocolate soy sauce and bubble gum wasabi. YUM.

We love making cakes here! My kids are nearly 7 and 4 and we also make cakes for our God children so I have a whole album full of photos. Will just share our most recent though, DDs 4th birthday cake.
