anyone know any remidies for heartburn you can safely take while pregnant?
I put up with it for my first pregnancy as it only hit me for the few last weeks. This time it's started heaps earlier and it's really yuck! I need relief!!

Also...has it ever made anyone actually spew? i was leaning over giving dd a bath last night and i felt all the acid reflux in my throat, it hurt and had to dash to the toilet to get it out....it was not pretty.

    I drank milk, chocolate milk..
I had it most of the day every day and went trough 5+ liters of chocolate milk a week as I just had a sip every time I got heartburn.

    Default heartburn help!

I had terrible heartburn when pregnant! I drank citrato, it's an Italian remedy for indigestion/heartburn. You'll find it in delis... but it's basically sodium bicarbonate citric acid and sugar. Other things that helped was milk, and avoiding any acidic foods like tomato based sauces orange juice and vinegarettes... But honestly I would get heartburn anyway and drank gaviscon like water... :-(

Ditto regarding Pariot - I had terrible heartburn and this was the only thing that worked. Tried all the home remedies, rennie, tums, malanga - none did the trick.

I lived on milk. I would even walk around the office with a little carton of it!

hope it's not too bad for you. I had morning sickness for most of my pregnancy but it was the heartburn that had me in tears. Not fun.
