Has anyone tried the Nespresso compatible pods that were advertised in the Woolies junk mail this week? I am curious and would love to know what others think before I buy, although they are so cheap, buying a pack cerrtainly won't break the bank ($5 for 10 pods)!

Hey, I have 2 boxes, one an intensity 7 and the other intensity 10. not as creamy as the Nespresso pods and maybe don't taste as nice as the pods i order (i order the same 5 or 6 pods everytime) but definitely drinkable. I would buy them again if I ran out of Nespresso. I like the fact they are convenient to buy when I forget to place an order. My Mum doesn't notice the difference in taste between the brands.
Eta: I will however place another order soon and keep the cheapies as a back up (or for people I don't really like).

Yeah they aren't as good as Nespresso pods...but I don't think they are entirely yuck. I'm talking about the Piazzo D'oro ones btw.
I think they are okay, but Nespresso ones are better...the fact that they are so easier to buy makes them more attractive too. I always run out of pods

Do they have a hot chocolate version? Some days I wish I drank coffee just so I could try one of these machines!

Have not tried any from Wooliess, but my BF got some from Office Works.
Pretty cheap, but it takes alot longer to get the water through the pod, thus you get less 'shot' as otherwise it burns the coffee.
I no longer drink coffee, so can't comment on the taste, but I can smell it burning the coffee.. My BF doesn't mind cause he has a million sugars with it..
He says the Nespresso pods taste better, but the Office works ones are still fine for the cheaper price.

Haven't seen one but wish they did. I like the Aldi hot choc pods.

I don't think they have a hot chocolate one...but hot choc is soooooo easy to make. Just buy chocolate powder from the tea/coffee aisle, and add to milk warmed up from the nespresso milker. Yummy, easy and I think they are tastier than the choc pods I have tried from the Aldi machines.

I'll put hot choc powder on my shopping list and give it a try. Yummo.
