No, they would be punished at school.

And if they are suspended I wouldn't punish them at home but they would be doing school work/chores between 9am and 3pm.

Depends what the misbehavior was and what action the school took.

In that case I would discipline at home too (if it was me I would have been grounded!)

    Misbehaving is everything and anything.
Not listening, swearing, hitting, disrupting the class, rude, back chatting..
She just does what she wants.

Teachers sometimes use time out but she screams so they stopped, she misses out on lunch/recess play. They have finally suspended as nothing is working at school.

I don't as DD is usually upset enough that she got in trouble at school, so there is no need to take it any further. I do reinforce that what she did was wrong and thank her for telling me, as I have a real issue with her lying to not get in trouble.

If the school punishment wasn't having any effect then I would also punish her.

Then I'd speak with the school about using strategies that worked for my child.

I still would not punish at home.

My daughter is ASD,ODD and ADD so while I know she isn't like every other student I do think something else needs to be done.

At the start I wasn't letting her watch a movie at night and that worked, for a week.
Then I wouldn't let her play with her dog, worked for a few days
I'd take her out to dinner when good, worked a few days.

What would you do for the next 2 days while your child was suspended?

Nothing is working anymore and I have no idea what do to.

At all the other schools once the first suspension happens it happens all the time, I need ideas to stop it happening again as I'm a single mum and I need to work.
