I moved into our house about 6 months ago and have been too lazy to look into changing my plan until recently.
I found a deal online called one big switch offering big discounts so I thought I'd call Origin Energy a call to see what they can do.
Their advertised discounts are:
8% Discount +
1% Dual Fuel Discount +
1% Direct Debit Discount (see Direct Debit terms) +
2% Pay On Time Discount
but just by mentioning this One Big Switch campaign they upped the discount to 15%. It works out better for us to change over anyway, but it depends on the type of electricity meter you have
It just shows that you can save money by shopping around and asking for better deals.
