would anyone know if non-alcoholic beer would have the same dehydrating effects as normal alcoholic beer? Is it purely the alcohol that causes dehydration?...
Just wondering because nothing is quenching my thurst except non-alcoholic beer atm! anything else just wont settle and gives me reflux...yes even water and i cant stomach milk!
Im thursty and totally enjoying these beers!

Possibly might be dehydrating. You may already know that some of those beers actually contain small amounts of alcohol.

i dont believe they would cause dehydration as alcohol is a duritec and there is less than 0.05% alc/vol, if any in a bottle as the ones i drink say 0.0% so i fugure im just drinking water with spices in it

It is the alcohol that causes the dehydration as it makes the body expel more fluid than what is being put in so no the alcohol free beer won't dehydrate you. We have the baveria brand alcohol free beer and it is 0% as we used to stock in our shop for our Muslim customers who do not drink alcohol.

Probably in the same way as softdrink.
