    Default Stoma help please!!

DD is 6, she was tube fed via a mic-key. I took the mic-key out last year and it 'healed' naturally after about 8 months. Dd's surgeon has seen it and was happy it was closed.

BUT... The last few weeks DD has had a stench, like really really bad gastro wind that I thought was her fluffing. Ive had weird little thoughts that the stoma had looked wet but thought nothing of it as it was realy random and not often enough to consider the stoma was actually leaking.

Last night DD was at respite and her carer told me her stoma was wet and smelt horrible. Like clear the room horrible. Its not wet now, or red or anything.

Is that possible? Could it be her stoma??

sounds like a fistula from the old stoma site thegood thing is you know its from the stomach and its not anything new but the bad thing is yes it shouldnt re open and that sucks, Put a stoma bag on her and get her back into the surgeon
