I think it looks gross too.. On a woman.. I suppose i see it as manly.. Also don't like it on men but would hate dh to shave his pits that would creep me out..

I think commenting on another woman's body in this way is revolting. It just doesn't sit well with me.

If a woman wants and is comfortable and confident with keeping her underarm hair intact, why is that an issue? Similarly, if a woman is happier with pretty much no hair on her body, what has that got to do with you?

A woman has the right to make these choices for herself, especially since something as simple as underarm hair is hardly hurting anyone.

LOL what a timely thread jasper keeps asking me what the hair under my arms is and says I have hair like daddy. Love 3 year olds.

We''re talking like 1cm of growth here, but honestly I just keep forgetting.... for weeks.... because its just not important to me. Its not a statement, I don't mean anything by it or to offend anyone. I think I smell perfectly fine, like men I'm totally capable of using deodorant...

    Whatever - it's hair.

(Im totally serious though I keep forgetting, I shaved my legs today, and I seriously just checked my arm pits upon reading this thread and realised I still hadnt)

I hate hair growth on myself. I can't handle hair anywhere except my head. But that's me just physically feeling uncomfortable. But I also grow basically no hair on my legs or anything. My arm pits however grow like crazy so I can't even stand 1 mm of hair there.

But I don't give two hoots if women shave or not. It's their own life who am I to tell them what to shave.

Please explain where anyone said women shouldn't have a choice?

I was genuinely curious as to whether or not the carpet pit look has made a comeback. Would you be equally offended if I had commented on a woman wearing a skirt suit with sneakers? (actually saw that recently and courant get the Seinfeld song out of my head!).

Are you telling me you have NEVER had a negative thought about another woman's appearance? Never voiced such a thought out loud? Ever? - if the answer is yes I'm calling the BS flag.

    Gotta love those kids!

I also Forget sometimes. Moreso on my legs than my underarms. Probably because armpits sweat more than legs. And legs are hidden a lot in winter...

I was just thinking.. last time this debate came along on the hub I was all anti arm pit hair.. and now I really couldn't care less!!! I'm too lazy now and tbh I don't really find it Grosse or manly anymore. My mum always kept her underarm hair too.. which used to make me die inside as a teen at the beach.. oh my god.. I'm turning into my mum.
