Its been ages since I last posted and for some reason i stopped getting this thread's daily email update and now the iphone app isnt working for me either.....anyway i'm here!
Zackmick - Congrats on the 10 fert embies, hope they grow nice and strong. I'll be stalking you
Oh and this might be a little late now but this is the cocktail of vits that I had DH on:
1g Vit C (2x500mg)
400iu Vit E
1 GNC Ultra Mega Gold Multi tablet
added later during the FET cycles (so was effective for TESA):
co-enzyme Q10 - 2x 50mg
500mg acetyl l-carnitine
also got him eating a couple of brazil nuts and a handful goji berries (organic). I had the goji berries with walnuts instead (yummy healthy snack).
tried to get him on macca powder but he didnt like it, so i didnt push it.
I told the MFI specialist i had DH on all this and he found it very amusing, and didnt think it would do much for us but said there was no harm in it either.
I think it did help us because we had to use TESA (testicular sperm) and that is known for not getting as good fert results when compared to ejaculated sperm yet we got a BFP and 3 blasty in the freezer.
oh and we both gave up coffee!
Little Feet - I hope ur 2 embies are growing strong as well

Jen - I am so so sorry. I don't know what to say. I really feel for you. Please try and take care of yourself at this time and let us know how you're getting on. Thinking of you.
Akakura - Great to see you back. Have been wondering what happened to you. I hope that things are progressing well for you.
Zakmick - How are you going? How many will you have transferred back on Wed?
AFM - Had an early stage blasty transferred this morning. They said it was still on track and still had the potential to become a baby so here's hoping it will snuggle in and become our baby. The other embryo was still at morula stage, they said they will give it until tomorrow to reach blasty. If it does they will freeze it, if not we've lost that one too. So hopefully the one on board will work as we can't afford another stim cycle.

Jen - I am truly sorry to hear your news. Biggest hugs from me and try to take things easy.
Zakmick - how are your embies today?
Little feet - all the best for being PUPO - snuggle in little ones.
AFM - had follow up scan today with FS and EPU will be on Thursday. Still have 9 good size follies and hope a few smaller ones catch up but we will see. I am triggering tomorrow night.
Hi to everyone else.
Is anyone else on clexane? I forgot to ask FS but I am assuming that I sitll take clexane and predisonole as usual during EPU???
Have a good night all.

Hi ladiesI don't post in this thread much as I hadn't started my IVF journey yet and was taking a break from all fertility assistance for a bit to get my head around everything and try to lose weight and get healthy before commencing IVF. To my shock, after over 2 years TTC, yesterday I got a BFP at 15DPO. I'm excited (obviously) because I can get pregnant without IVF and shocked that it has happened on a month when we are doing everything 'wrong' if you know what I mean. But still very scared and anxious at this stage. But I couldn't not stop into this thread and thank all your wonderful ladies for your support. In particular zakmick and Jen, your ladies have been such a great sounding board and so understanding of my mixed up emotions. Jen I am so very sorry to hear your news. Big hugs for you.

Jez, that's fantastic news, I hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months!
Little feet, how are you feeling? I hope being pupo isn't driving you too insane! Fingers crossed for your BFP!
Zacmick, any news on your embies???? I think you must be pupo now! Hope everything is going good and your ok. It is quite difficult to get on here now without the phone app!
Midnite good luck today for epu! Fingers crossed for excellent quality eggs, I hope your not in too much discomfort after, take it nice and easy!
AFM, well I saw doc on Tuesday. I think we are going to try one more fresh cycle, but if it's unsuccessful I am going to cut my losses and spend the money on the 2 babies (they aren't small, but still my babies) I have got. We are looking at going this month. EPU expected the week of the 29th October. We are booked in for an accupuncture session at a fertility clinic today mainly for DH to improve swimmers but will see what other advice they can give. Wil try everything to make this time work.
zacmick and wunsi, I know you two both had acupuncture, did either do it for DH and do you feel it is worth trying?.

Midnite- Hope you got some great eggies today and your not in too much discomfort!! get the bowels working as soon as you can it helped me!!
Little Feet: yay for PUPO!!!
Jez: OMG...Congratulations beautiful that is wonderful news. Anytime you need support just find us, but let us no how things go!!! X
Akakura: Hi!!! Hope your going well!! Thanks for your DH's vitamins etc xx
Jen: Oh honey, Im so sorry IVF just SUXS!!! Its amazing though the strength you find within you to keep going, we made a decision today that, when I turn 40 thats it. Still 2 yrs away but I think we have had to make that decision. Acupuncture I did weekly, but DH wanted no part of it, he does not beleive in it, he did take the herbs though. Marttc DH has been doing acupuncture and there has been an increase in sperm but I think he was going for 3 mths. As it takes 3 mths for the sperm to mature. So to see a significant change in sperm quality a protocol needed to be followed for 3 mths, however with that said another bhubbers dh gave up alcohol for one month and they didnt have to use icsi that cycle...So you never know!
AFM: we transferred an expanding blastocyst and morula on wednesday BT is 9th Oct, and we got no frosties. Im confused, angry and frustrated as no one was answering my questions as why this has happened. As in the past we have always got frosties. Wont dwell on it as I cant change that outcome, so focusing on the two I have. I have plans to change clinics and apts to see new FS"s in October, will still see them even if we are successful.
Will try and get back on here more regualrly but my computer is like using one from the stone age!!!
Even when Im not here your far from my thoughts

I'm so sorry for your sucky news. Glad you have a plan to move forward though. Both DH and I did acupuncture and herbs. DH really liked the acupuncture, it calmed him down and he felt his ejaculate was better . I can't say categorically that it improved his sperm as I had him on coq10, goji berries and aloe juice as well and I think it all contributed and I don't think we squeezed 3 months of it in before I fell naturally (mc) and then the subsequent ICSI cycle where we got a great frostie count.
Zakmick - congrats on being PUPO, it sounds very promising with the ones you have in you despite no frosties, but I would also want answers as to why no frosties when you are used to getting them.
AFM - I am travelling well. Relatively no nausea, super tired, little belly that is proving difficult to hide from close friends and the full boobs. Still having weekly acupuncture and first OB appt was this week and we saw the bub and heartbeat again. OB not too worried about the hematoma, which is still there and no change and seemed to almost be floating in the middle of my uterus. All my research says it should be fine and will either remain there throughout the pregnancy or my body will reabsorb it.
To the rest of the melbourne girls I hope you are all travelling well.
