Merge lines mean person on the right, but just sudden end of lines means person on the left.
In Queensland the rule is if there are no lines you give way to the vehicle in front. If lines are marked the vehicle in the lane that ends gives way to the vehicle in the lane they are moving to.

I laugh that people think that because they are ordering champagne they are getting superior quality bubbles than a 'sparkling wine''. Er, no, it's called wine appellation laws and all it means is that unless the sparkling wine comes from the Champagne region of France it cannot be called Champagne. It does not necessarily mean Champagne is better quality or nicer tasting than any other variety of grapes grown, fermented and bottled in the same way from somewhere other than Champagne, France.

Grapes grown in different regions are known to taste different. It's a fact that soil and climate make a huge difference, why is it so hard to believe that the Champagne region could produce superior sparkling white?

Yeah but I try not to think about the fact they are the beginnings of an unfertilised chicken life. That's why I only eat eggs that resemble rubber. No gooey egg yolks on my plate.
