Hi Everyone!!!
I just feel like venting : /
I am really liking those mothers who think their babies are so much better or more advanced than my child, like seriously why do ladies do that?
I attend a play group with my baby and who is the youngest child there but the other mothers like to compare him to their child and how their child is doing this and that.
To me my baby is developing very well for his age and I've told those mothers to back off and that i won't be attending their group again.

I have a friend that does that with my DD. Initially it really made me question her progression. Now I just ignore her. I don't get why people do it

I'll be honest...I used to do that. I don't anymore!
What goes around comes around... For me, I have always been competitive BUT (as a new mum at the time) what I didn't realise is that children really can't be compared...it's completely unfair on the children...they are not apples or oranges...they are small people
.
Hugs to you.... and I hope that for their sakes they start to realise what I have come to know....all small people develop at their own rate and have their own life stories.

Can I ask are they saying "my baby is doing xyz! Oh... your baby is only doing that?... oh... well... thats too bad"
Or are they going "look look! She's sitting!" "Watch this! Bubby show everyone your crawling!"

Re: Mama Vent!!!!! Comparing!!!!!!
Argh. Can be so frustrating! I think I'm the opposite...I had a friend over the other day who was stressing about her 11month old not hitting milestones and I'm always happy to say "meh, DS1 wasn't doing that either by that age and, look, your bub is clapping and my DS1 didn't do that til well after 1". That spectrum of "normal" is so big that it's handy to be reminded that they all get there eventually!

Mama Vent!!!!! Comparing!!!!!!
Answer to babycino question:
The mothers are saying things like your baby should be doing this or that by now!!! Hense why this is so frustrating for me because all babies at their pace and in their own time : )
This is my second child and so I think what my baby should be doing is none of their business!!
