Default Can't believe the cheek of some people *vent

So this morning dh and I go over to our other property which is a vacant half acre block. We get there to discover a dirt track has been made around our property, there is a boat, a ride on lawn mower and a kids 4wheeler on our property! The fence has been cut in 2 places on the fenceline and other motor bikes are on the fenceline so it's being used as a thoroughfare to our block. Quite obviously the neighbours are leting their kids ride their motorbikes around our property.

Dh and I were fuming!! How rude are some people?? While the block may be vacant it doesn't give others the right to utilise someone else's property! We have a vacant block next to us and there is no way we would even contemplate using it like it's our own, it's just not right!

The neighbours weren't home so we left a note on their front door which read
"Please remove your property from ours and it would be much appreciated that you don't utilise our property for storage of your goods or for recreation purposes"

Put a sign up! There's one near us that says "No littering, dumping or trespassing. Privately owned block"
    Something like that anyway.

    People are bloody rude...

Or you could take their stuff. It's on your land. Sell it!

How rude! Could there be an issue with insurance, like what happened if the kids hurt themselves? Could they try and sue you? I would be putting up those big no trespassing signs.

    This.
Their stuff can be argued as being abandoned.

Wow.. That is ridiculous. I would be fuming. Are you intending on living there at any point (ie building)? If not, I would be selling their stuff if they do it again!

It's been a few months since we went past the block and it was fine the last time so it's in the past few months they have been utilizing it. Couldn't believe what I was seeing this morning. We intend to give them a written notice if the stuff is still thee on Monday. Not sure what to do after that. Have asked our solicitor friend for advice on the matter.

the council are re-zoning the area currently. Building/selling will be a few years off yet. That block is our little gold mine and selling now isn't an option.

You're nicer than me. I would have just hired someone to come and take the stuff away. When asked about it you could have just said you thought it was dumped on your property so thought it was rubbish.
