Micca - just popping in to say I'm thinking of you, haven't been on here for ages due to not having the time and other dramas going on. Sorry to hear you haven't received the most positive news with your cycle. It's a good thing that this issue has been found and hopefully will be kicked to the curb. I've never heard such a thing could happen. Despite this clinic not having success with women of 44, there's always a first time. The clinic I went through has managed to get a 44 year old pregnant with her own eggs, so it can happen. All the best for Monday

    hey miccathinking of u

Just a quickie from mje tonight had a great visit to fs and he is going to run me like an ivf cycle which sounded great however I went to my tiny little town chemist today to buy puregon (have never had to buy these when doing ivf in 2008) only to find the chemist wants to charge me $1400

crapped myself and told him to take it back I shall have to sort something else out so im NO further ahead of course clinic was closed by the time I got to chemist so will have to wait till talk with fs to see an alternative....

Good Lord Tens! Not the kind of surprise anyone wants! Good luck with your FS sorting that one out. How outrageous.
Micca, seems to me you have some good options there and are being well looked after, I hope you get a clear resolution as to what may be causing the fever and good luck with your transfer if it goes ahead.
Fort, wishing you all the luck in the world for transfer and lots of frosties for after!

that price is the private price... your FS will have no idea of how much it costs. you can get it on pbs script as you qualify the FS just has to write it and it will cost only $36 per 2 pens...if he refuses to write a pbs script then just go to your GP and get them to do it. other option is buying it from FS. Also check that he has ticked the PBS box at the top of the script... often the FS forget to do this and it becomes a private script if this is not done

got my day 2 report back...
both embies are still alive.. guess thats a good thing...

both are 2 cell... no fragmentation and grade 3/5 (5/5 best) so average quality

this is much the same as my last cycle.. so guessing they may be 4-5 cell tomorrow...

anyway had a fabulous bacon and egg breakie and off to find real coffee...I had a large one yesterday and it was fantastic.. num num...

Micca- great they are growing!!! Awesome!!

    FANTASTIC news. 4 blasties today.

1 of them was even starting to hatch. 1 of the 4 was 'lesser' but to give you an idea of lesser it was freezable quality already and at my clinic they only freeze absolute top quality embryos.
My usual FS is on a conference- our agreement for 2 was "1 top quality embryo and 1 "would be suitable for fresh transfer, but not suitable to freeze" embryo. But as they were all freezer quality and the FS was a different one we managed to con her into transferring 2. We thought "stuff it" let's transfer 2 anyway. LOL Hope I don't live to regret that spur of the moment choice. DH will go crazy if we get twins.

Transfer was perfect (except it felt like they were trying to put the speculum in sideways...).

    Had 2 rounds of acupuncture.

We also have 3 more that are 'almost' blasties and the embryologist said they'll grow them out until tomorrow and see what's freezer worthy.

Day 5- 4 perfect blasties, 3 'maybes' for the freezer- update tomorrow. Worst case scenario: 2 frosties Best: 5 frosties (but I know that's a 50% gamble).

Literally jumping out of my skin with excitement.

UPDATE: 2 in the freezer- both compacted blasties, one was starting to hatch! Of the 3- already one looks promising for a freeze tomorrow.
