    Oh i do say what I want lol but I'm not earning any money? I feel like I can't be like you should do this with your money! I hope that makes sense. He wanted to spend it because it was his holiday pay etc from his previous job that he lost.

    We talked it through and he said we will pay 5k off loan, and put the rest towards a/c for our room.

    If you can have a child together then you can have a say in your future, his debt or not. Pushy would be the last thing I'd call making your point about family finances, which is what they are, family. Not just yours, his and the no man's land in between! I'd actually rather speak up and know I tried to prevent something that concerned everyone than sit there going 'his problem I have no say' because your going to have to deal with the outcome too. I'm glad you spoke to him and he agreed to at least reduce the debt but I still stand by my point. In a relationship and in this sort of situation there never really is his money and her money, because in the end your all effected by the choices made with said money and although you may not have earned the money, you've got the right to have a say in how it's spent.
