I do think the posed photos are funny (you know where a kid looks passed out so you pop some props in and take s quick snap )

I do not think it is funny to give a minor (particularly a child) alcohol for any reason nor do i think people who boast about getting their pets drunk funny

Pathetic little people abusing innocents for their own amusement

i think your friends are idiots and need to go to parenting classes and possible even human classes because letting a baby sip alcohol EVER is stupid and dangerous encouraging them to do so all the time and telling her its cute is beyond stupid they seriously need to get clue they are damaging her little brain. You need to get some leaflets together and show them the infomation and the damage they are doing if that doesnt stop there harmful behaviour and make them wake up and be decent parents then you need to speak to someone that will get it through there thick skulls

Maybe it's bc I have major hang ups about alcohol given my upbringing, and I don't want to come across judgey... but I don't see what's funny about even pretending a baby or small child is drunk and/or drinking?

Am I weird?......................... shhhh don't answer that

I've got a rule of not even any caffeine till they're at least 10 (which I'll reassess when they're closer to 10) def no alcohol, their brains are so plastic and so moldable at this time. My parents gave us sips of their beer or wine (max of one sip at any family BBQ) but in pretty sure this didn't start till we were 12+

    Wrong on so many levels

Omg.haven't read any other posts yet but HELL NO. I have seen people do this. Even pouring it in the baby bottle so they sleep. Was so gob smacked I was speechless. It is absolutely disgusting, reprehensible, irresponsible and abusive to the child/baby. I would never ever do it. I have let my 6 year old taste half a teaspoon of beer only because I knew she would hate it. She did and had never ever asked again because alcohol is "disgusting and only for adults and I don't know why adults like that".

My sil and her family think it is hilarious to watch my 2 nephews (one which is 2) regularly drink half a cruiser. (they are NOT the ones I have seen pour jacks in the bottle but still just as bad).

Why would anyone think that is funny.

no way. i don't like it. my FIL gave my dd some red wine once and literally tipped it in her mouth which spilt all down her new pj's and ruined them. i yelled at him to stop it cos she was gagging, and not only that, i'd already told him not to even think about giving her some as she had just had some medication!!

If I saw that I'd tell them if I heard of anything like that happening again I'd report them To DOCS.
