Gp. I did get a referral for QE11 gynae department though.

I'd definitely go for a second opinion. Did he get day 21 bloods and an ultra sound done? Blood sugar levels (insulin)?

No day 21 bloods, no ultrasound or insulin test.

I agree with the other comments. I would be making that gynaecologist appointment ASAP. Seems very strange pcos was ruled out without an ultrasound.

I have the referral letter, I just have to post it. Even if pcos is ruled out.. What else causes super long, unpredictable cycles with mid cycle spotting and no ovulation..??

Is that QEII in Brisbane? Because they take ages even to respond, I got rejected through them because my testing wasn't sufficient, my gp sent a ultrasound and blood tests, so I decided to see a specialist and pay full price, didn't want to wait again. If you are in Brisbane I suggest seeing a specialist at southside fertility Sunnybank. I have pcos too! Good luck

I'm seeing a specialist at North West Medical Centre and will need to pay full price, which I think is around $150 for initial gynaecology appointment, and a bit less for follow up appointments as I want to get the growth removed in my uterus removed ASAP and find out a bit more about what I can do in regards to my pcos. It could be worth asking your GP for a referral to a private gynae for an initial appointment?
