    Default Wine drinkers...

If you received wine as a gift, would you prefer that it was an expensive wine, or a good (not necessarily really expensive) wine from a well known winery that can only be obtained through a limited wine club?

I like funky organic wines with cool labels...

I'd probably get scoffed at by 'proper' wine drinkers for choosing my wine that way... Especially because I LOVE sweet wines, and dessert 'stickies'... Most wine drinkers don't.

I've seen the c0ck and bull. Cracked me up!
Aldi wine? Where do you live? We can't buy wine at supermarkets here. Such a shame!
    Thanks for the replies.

I'd be happy with any good wine, and both wine club or expensive wines would be nice presents to receive.

As long as it was nice wine

Any nice wine. Wouldn't matter to me.
I also like cool labels... I soak labels off the bottle and I have a journal where I stick them and we write why we had the wine etc. kind of like a dinner party journal etc. Even when it's just DH and I, I still do it.

Anything nice, price is irrelevant, as long as its not like a $4 bottle. One of my favourites is about $15 (even less i think) from Dan murphys and I also had a nice $12-13 one from Aldi the other night.

I think if it's a good wine the price is irrespective

You can get some good wines cheaper at places like Dan Murphys
