    Oh and do you think I should encourage him to wake up earlier? He doesn't really have a set wake up time, but it's not unusual for him to sleep til 7:30-8:00am.

    Yes for the routine but no for waking him. Let him sleep in. Mine never sleep in so your very lucky

    If he's gaining weight well and otherwise healthy, let him sleep and enjoy your down time! At 4 months he's still practically a newbie so he probably needs the sleep.

    I would probably start introducing a bedtime routine. It doesn't have to be much, even if it's just a quick story and cuddle.
