    Default TENS machine?

    Has anyone used one in labour? I was curious about them with my son's birth but I didn't take the next step into actually hiring one.

    This time (being my last labour, hopefully!) I'd like to give it a try.

    Did it make much of a difference? How much is too much to pay? Was it helpful in labours that weren't posterior or is it mostly for when you experience a lot of back labour?

    I need the lowdown, ladies!

    I borrowed one from my sister and used it through my labour. Bubs was not posterior and I found it amazing!

    It definitely made a huge difference, I can't recommend it enough!!!

    Was a fantastic tool for giving your mind something else to focus on during the contractions.

    I would start mine on a low setting at the start of contraction and then crank it up to full as the contraction peaked.

    Don't know about costs as I lent from my sister who owns one.

    I used one for my DS... It did nothing for me except irritate me.

    But my labour did come hard and fast so maybe that's why?

    I think it cost me roughly $100 for a weeks hire from our chemist
