Default How has your partner suprised you recently?

So, a week or so ago there was a thread about a little boy who wanted to wear clothing designed for little girls... and in it, I stated I had no idea what I'd do... and mentioned how I think DP would react.

Well, a few nights ago we were talking about it, and he actually suprised me (pleasantly). We went beyond just clothing, but were discussing if we had a son who actually WANTED TO BE A GIRL (not just dress like one). He said that he would make sure that our son could see someone who deals with childhood gender indentity issues to figure out what was going on, and perhaps discuss transitioning.

I had previously assumed he'd have been a bit "Pfft... I don't want my son being a sissy!" type... and am now quite happy and feeling very loving towards him having discovered he'd want what was best for our child, rather than what looked best in the eyes of society.

So... how has your partner suprised you lately?

Well nothing as serious as that but I came home from work yesterday to dinner cooked. I knew he was going to cook but what surprised me was that it was delicious! Not at all what I expected as his usual attempts at dinner are not really to my taste but this time it was great. Lovely surprise.

I got a wet willy the other day. That was a surprise, but not really surprising behaviour

    She surprises me everyday.

After we found out our donor couldn't donate this month DP hugged me and suggested I called the clinic. She really wanted to try at home a few more times but knows I really want to go through a clinic because I think it'll be a bit easier for us to handle.

I love that she saw how hard it's been on me and suggested it so I wouldn't have to ask.

That's about the extent of my surprises too!

Actually he always 'surprises' me with duty free hand cream after an overseas business trip. I'm getting quite a stash.

After 8months hard IVF my DH had arranged a massage for me this morning and a private yoga class to develop a program I can continue through the treatments :-) I am blessed!

I surprised him with an ebony shaving set brush and razor and bowl stand thingy he has converted for years.

I have been feeling really down about not having anything to wear so DH got DS looked after and not only did he take me to the shops but helped me find clothes, help me get them on and put them back on the hangers. Then he didn't even hesitate to spend a fortune! This is from a man who HATES shopping. I was super proud and surprised.
