Although getting a boarder/renting a room out works for some, I'd urge you to think carefully about this option. I had someone move in for a while and hated it! I found it disruptive and highly annoying. I now have family staying with me too and although it's a big house I am totally over it after a month! It's much easier and nicer when it's just DS and I. You don't want to add to your stress levels right now.
It may work for you though! Just saying it is hard to share when you have children.
