Thanks for the replies everyone. I loved all the photos.

I'm going to reassess cutting his hair when the weather heats up. Ds1 is a sweater, so I'll see how ds2 handles it.

I just hate that they seem to think he's less of a boy for having longish hair.

I would keep them if there are no issues. My DS2 has a curly mullet at the moment

Becca tell your parents to pull up outside the local high school at 3.30 pm and count the boys with hair just like your ds. Longish curly hair is all in now, and the boys that don't have curls are shagging it up so it looks curly!

ETA ot butI was expecting BH to *** out shagging but it didn't lol

Hayden is well overdue for a cut, he has beautiful curls too, but he HATES having his hair brushed and washed, so for him it's best it comes off. He's got so much hair right now though it is starting to look really messy. Oh btw he's had it cut 3 times before and it grows back even curlier every time, although, your boys curls look a bit softer than Hayden's so maybe they won't. I'll try to find a picture.

We've always kept DS's hair really short, partly bc I like it that way, partly bc he's a mud and mess type of child and I find a number 2 easier to manage.

I don't get really caught up in 'long hair is for girls, short for boys', but I'm not keen on long hair on men (infact I hate it lol) so I guess me keeping DS's hair short is just an extension of that.

He's your son it's your choice. Honestly I wouldn't but I think DP would want to so it would be decided between DP and I not my parents and I!

    I would cut it.

I'm all for cuteness, but I'm far too practical. My boy always has short hair, and probably always will (if he tries to grow it long as is the current *cough*style*cough* I'll probably buzz cut him while he's asleep ).

I should however mention that I'm a military mum. Anything other than a short back and sides gets the knee jerk "You need a haircut. Get it done." reaction. It's practically Pavlovian. So remember, if you feel like I'm being judgmental of your boys for having long hair it's your own government that made me that way.

I'd trim it but that's it, I think it looks adorable!
