Default What do you look for in a rental?

3 bedrooms, pets allowed, good heating and lounge and bathroom must be modern and functional. Storage space is a huge plus.

The price is the main thing i look at... It has to be affordable. I'm willing to overlook a lot of things. The place i'm in now has cupboard doors falling off or already fallen off. The oven has no temp control, it's a pretty feral area, etc... There is a lot wrong but its cheap. I don't want to pay heaps and heaps to live in someone elses house.
I have to move soon and the things i will look for will be: affordability, proxmitity to the school, daycare, work and tafe. Properties i apply for first will have to meet that criteria but the more desperate i become the more i will start looking at areas furrher away and more expensive.

    Normal windows,

My current rental has the drive way from hell (my driving instructor scraped coming up it), the front yard gets almost no sun light, the kitchen is a feral old houso kitchen and the bathroom is rotting out ...

The most annoying thing is the hopper bloody windows.

Carpetted bedrooms (we have floor boards right now but I would love love carpet in the bedrooms just no where else).

We also require a garage and a shed (due to DP's work stuff), air con and heating (but I would love a combustion fire!), and at least an acre of land.

I don't care for a dishwasher or things like that.

No carpet what so ever....especially not in the bedrooms (we have to deal with dust mite allergies)
    Right location.
    Has to have a dishwasher.
Had to have a pool was a requirement when we were looking last time, 2 1/2 years ago.
Had to look nice and I had to like it as it was, considering you can't change things.
Now that we're looking again and we're no longer a one car family but a 2 car + campervan family off street parking is important too.
