    Default Twins...

Has anyone been/is pregnant with twins? Did you know before or find out at the first scan?

I had no inkling until a scan at about 10w3d. Luckily I was laying down when I found out, otherwise I would have fallen over from shock

My SIL found out at her dating scan. There were 2 sacks in there. I think she thought she was 7 weeks and they dated her about 5 weeks.

I found out at my 12 week scan, no family history and no inkling apart from being extremely tired!

I didn't have a clue, even when the HCG results came back really, really high - I didn't really know what that meant. So I didn't have any idea until the scan. my mother has twins in her family.

No, it was a total shock at the ultrasound.

I thought I was having twins. I had a BFP 7dpo and had bad symptoms from then - really light headed and exhausted and had nausea that early too. It was earlier than when I was pregnant with my ds. As I didn't have a threatened miscarriage, etc I didn't have an HCG level done. I had a dating scan at 7 weeks (to check for twins, but also cause my cycles were long and weird). It wasn't twins. I didn't believe it, so I got another scan by the Ob at 9 weeks.
