We just can't afford or justify the cost of IVF. It would take months just to save for one cycle and that would be taking away from the kids we have.

I thought that was the case Del as i am sure you have mentioned it before. Dont give up all hope. 34 is definitely not too old to be a mother again! I still keep everything crossed for you every month. To me its not fair that when someone wants to be a mother so desperately and it just doesnt happen the way it should :'( definitely ask at your next appt for your amh check

That's such a bummer about this cycle Del. I can't believe it's almost 2 years for you either. I think it's a bit much to say that i won't work if it doesn't in the 1st 2 months - I'd be quite sure we only got DS because we managed to DTD at exactly the right time on the right day. With DD and my 2nd pregnancy I think we had more leeway and just had to DTD near O, but my body has obviously changed enough now that we had to get the timing perfect... which is bloody hard to do!! So I hope you get to try clomid for a few more months and if no joy then some other options.

    😔
Have you investigated clomid with scans to monitor & trigger injections?
Also there are lost cost IVF clinics, they don't freeze embryos & your egg pick up is done whilst awake but there are other options before having to spend thousands

We live out in the bush and the nearest IVF is over 2 hours away and they don't do that

The FS is also 2 hours away which is why I see a gyno and he doesn't do monitored cycles. I have no doubt I'm ovulating. Ahhh sorry to seem like I'm shooting all the ideas down. Just frustrated.

It must be so hard and I empathise as you don't necessarily want to do things at the expense (not just financial) of your other two children. We have friends also struggling with secondary infertility and I know how hard it is for them to find balance with the decisions they've had to make.

Totally understand, I don't think you are shutting ideas down, you've obviously already thought about it.
IVF cycles can be quite quick, I wonder if you could stay with a friend for 2 weeks, one closer to a clinic... I know it's a really big ask & probably not possible but throwing it out there!! 😊 Have you tried a naturopath? Acupuncture? - just throwing everything out there for you!!

I ovulate too, every single month & yet we can't get pregnant... My FS thinks maybe DH sperm cannot penetrate my eggs?! It sucks...

We were TTC 2 1/2 years.... 1 1/2 of that was IVF, 3 cycles, 5 transfers... You start to wonder if it'll EVER happen & it becomes hard to see the positives in any situation but we got there & I'm so glad we never gave up 😊 we are still not there yet but I'm 11w5d, so far the furtherest I've gotten, had 3 scans so far to monitor as my anxiety is very high, as you could imagine!
I feel your frustrations & your pain... I really do! XO
