FRER are the most sensitive tests as a general rule, and medical centres generally buy the cheaper, less sensitive ones...cost-cutting, as running a GP Clinic is expensive. As an aside, when I got my last +ve on a FRER, I went and bought 3 different types of pregnancy tests just to satisfy the scientific nerd in me. They were all negative, even though I was pregnant (miscarried, but that's unrelated). They included: Pregnosis, Clear Blue Digital, etc. That is why I am a big advocate of FRER. So please don't worry.
Pity your GP was unhelpful. Find an OBGYN and go from there. Feel free to PM me anytime.
As an aside, I spent $100 on FR OPKs today. I don't believe in Internet Cheapies, as they are wrong SO much of the time.
Many of you may have seen the www.peeonastick.com website. If not, do...it answers most of the commonly asked questions. Mumofprincess, go to the "HPT Showdown" section. As much as I hate Google and it's misinformation, this site is at least backed up by some methodology.
As for exercise, in the first trimester or so, keep doing what you have been...but DO NOT increase it. And avoid really strenuous exercise; anything that raises your heart-rate too high.
You said something about a "high-risk" pregnancy??
Enjoy your positive! Be happy!

Wow so much has happened on here..good luck & congrats mumofprincess!
Im on cd10 and been feeling a little low of late, is it normal to feel so angry when you hear friends and family falling pregnant? It's horrible, I should be happy for them!
Don't know if we will try this mth or have a break..never thought ttc would be so stressful..
