Default bubs dropping at 30 weeks?

Ok so im almost 31 weeks and i have a irratable uterus.. Since 8pm last night i have been having tightenings.. I havent been able to sleep, some are painful enough to wake me when i try to sleep, other are just taking the breath away. They might be one every hour or 10 every hour.. its completely varied..

Anyways when does bubs engage, sorry for TMI but we think we can feel a head like object pushing down more... my pelvic is really sore and im not sure whats going on.. any advice would be great.

It might be Bh. If you can breath a little easier or think your tummy is lower then probably bub has dropped.
Try a warm bath to help with the pain. Good luck!

I got a really sore pelvis (groin bones) at 33 weeks, went to middy this week (35 weeks) and bubs head is well down, she wrote on my card bubs is engaged. Also she said the pelvic pain would be from the ligaments all stretching even more getting ready for labour. Sounds like same sort of pain as you, and the tightenings I have also had alot of, none to wake me though, sounds like braxton hicks. All good signs in my eyes even if they seem so early!

I know how you feel, this irritable uterus thing is a great big pain! I felt so stupid the other night, I was sure it was labour so sure I refused to go home and they had to book me in. My OBGYN came to my rescue the next morning and explained tht to us it does feel like real labour, the only way we will know is if they check the cervix. Going to see ur doc is a very good idea, le them check for infection as IU combined with infection is no good. Hang in there...you are not alone, what you feel is real and there are others like you.

Just a update.. back from doctors.. Baby is 3 fifth's engaged, head down ready to go.. She doesnt believe i will even make it to 35 weeks. She said i would be lucky to make it to my next appointment with her in 2 weeks by the way things are looking.. So im resting in bed.. praying for LO to stay a little longer. My cervix is already softened ( that was at 28 weeks ) and i was one cm dilated then.. she didnt do a internal this time as she doesnt want to upset anything, but if this keeps on getting worse she wants me to go to the hospital.

Oh hun, sorry to hear this. It is a tough road but you can make it. Did they give you anything to control the contractions, I was on nefidiphine...for me it did not do much...panadeine extra seemed to calm them better but we are all different maybe it woul work for you.

I was also told the same, I am now 38 weeks! You can do it, just rest like she said keep bubs off ur cervix as much as posible....which means no sitting up either.
